This page presents results of a JRC SCAR survey held in 2014.
The “Bioeconomy Member States survey” aimed to collect information on the bioeconomy at individual national Member State level, with a particular focus on national research activities and policy initiatives for the bioeconomy. The survey had a particular focus on national bioeconomy research activities and national bioeconomy policy initiatives.
Biomass Research provided support in the implementation and analysis of the survey in collaboration with DG JRC and SCAR, in particular with the Strategic Working Group on Sustainable use of Bio-resources for a Growing Bioeconomy (SBGB). Data and information were collected through national contact points using a questionnaire. The main results of the survey have been incorporated into national files on the Bioeconomy Observatory website.
Detailed results are presented in a number of national reports presented elsewhere on this page.
