Use of woody biomass for power and heat

Biomass Research collects, analyses and shares data on biomass availability and use. Our annual report on dry biomass use for power and heat in the Netherlands – prepared in close collaboration with the Platform Bio-Economie (PBE) – was shared by the Belgian ‘Organisatie Duurzame Energie (ODE)’ in 2024. The report provides an overview of the use, origin and sustainability of woody biomass in the Netherlands and brings together relevant data and insights on developments in the sector.
